Hive Healthcare is seeking skilled and passionate Consultant Paediatric Emergency Department (ED) physicians to join our team across multiple locations. This role presents the chance to provide critical care to children in emergency situations while working with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality emergency care to paediatric patients in the ED, including rapid assessment, stabilization, and effective interventions as required.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure timely and safe patient throughput.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, contributing to a collaborative team environment and continuous improvement of clinical practices.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and healthcare colleagues to support patient-centred care.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work across multiple locations and provide shift coverage as required.
Qualifications
  • Must hold a valid CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Paediatrics or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Current registration with the relevant medical board in Irish Medical Council
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a paediatric emergency department setting, with demonstrated competency in clinical assessments and interventions.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, families, and healthcare colleagues.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement of clinical practices.
