Cavan General Hospital/Monaghan Hospital invites applications for a Consultant General Surgeon s.i. gastrointestinal surgery. This is an appointment to the HSE Dublin and North East Region with an initial commitment to Cavan General Hospital for 28 hours per week and Monaghan Hospital for 9 hours per week.

A candidate must be registered as a specialist in Ireland in general surgery and have two years of certified postgraduate training in GI surgery.

Formación

• Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of general surgery
• Two years certified postgraduate training in gastrointestinal surgery

Responsabilidades

• Provide consultant level general surgery services on a GI basis across Cavan Monaghan Hospital and Monaghan Hospital
• Contribute to on‑call rotas and provide leadership in the care of acute surgical patients
• Support teaching, audit and service development within HSE Dublin and North East Region
