Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Construction Management or having a trade background.
• 2+ years of Construction experience as a Site Manager/Foreman/Senior Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of Construction Practices and Safety Standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Contracts Manager/Company Directors to ensure smooth-running project.
• Manage on-site Construction Activities, ensuring Project Milestones are met.
• Supervise and Co-Ordinate Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Trades.

The Client and overview of the opportunity:

My Client are a Connacht-based, €80m+ turnover Main Contractor. They focus their business on Public Works and Pharma Contracts in the West and Mid-West of Ireland and have over 60 years of continuous trading. This business are hiring for the future and are keen to bring people in who would like to progress over time. I have Recruited for this business for 3-4 years and know them well.

You will be given as much opportunity as needed to ensure that you are able progress and do your jobs successfully. You'll work with a very transparent Senior Management Team who value their staff and suppliers.

As Site Manager/Project Manager, you'll be reporting in to a Contracts Manager/Company Director and will be the most senior person on-site.

This project is a Commercial project on the Westside of the City. It hasn't started yet and is expected to take around 18 months to complete.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Contracts Manager/Company Directors to ensure smooth-running project which makes money for the Company.
• Manage on-site Construction Activities, ensuring Project Milestones are met.
• Supervise and Co-Ordinate Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Trades.
• Manage EHS as per Company and Industry standards.
• Ensure Quality Control and adherence to Project Specifications.
• Manage site records, progress reports, and day-to-day problem-solving
• Monitor project costs and ensure resources are used efficiently.

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Construction Management or having a trade background + previous Site Management experience.
• 2+ years of Construction experience as a Site Manager/Foreman/Senior Engineer
• Strong knowledge of Construction Practices, Regulations, and Safety Standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain project schedules.
