Job description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant in North Tipperary. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects including both Civil and MEICA elements of the construction and commissioning process, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Based Construction Manager, working with the overall project delivery team.
  • On site Implementation of the project delivery principles.
  • Delivery of the WWTP infrastructure in accordance with Contract specifications, Contract KPI's and designs.
  • Delivery of the WWTP infrastructure in accordance with the Contract programme and Contract Target Cost.
  • Liaise with design subcontractor and arrange site inspections & BCAR as necessary.
  • Management of the on-site PSDP & PSCS duties and responsibilities, developing a culture of innovation and initiative to all matters HSQE.
  • Co-ordination of all EPS contractual requirements, this includes civil, mechanical, electrical and automation works and associated documentation.
  • Management of day to day project communications with all client and all vested stakeholders.
  • Management of all financial and budgetary aspects of the project.
  • Provision of monthly site progress reports.

Key Competencies and Skills:

  • 8+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in PC skills to include MS office and Project software is advantageous.
  • Good inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Strong engineering, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Have a willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and wastewater Industry.
  • Interest in implementing opportunities and initiatives in a time restricted schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Third level Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree.
  • Similar relevant third level qualification and experience will be considered.
  • Full EU/ Irish driving licence.
