Job summary

Gas Networks Ireland is seeking a Construction Engineer (NSWC / DX Pipelines) within its Asset Delivery function in Ireland. You will oversee construction delivery elements across NSWC and DX pipeline projects and serve as the main contact for Gate 3 escalations in your region.

You will consult with Connections Coordination, Design Delivery and Project Services teams to support successful project development and ensure on-site execution aligns with design and plans.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for escalations at Gate 3 within the region.

The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end to end planning, designing and delivery of GNI's portfolio of asset development programmes. The Asset Delivery function brings together all the technical and project support capabilities needed to take high-level projects and programmes from the Portfolio Office and translate thesethroughfrom detaileddesignandproject planning,toconstructiondelivery andhandover to Asset Operations.
Reporting to the Senior Project Delivery Engineer (NSWC / DX Pipelines), the Construction Engineer (NSWC / DX Pipelines) will be responsible for overseeing the construction delivery elements of specific NSWC and DX pipeline projects issued to Asset Delivery by the Portfolio Office. Acting as the primary point of contact for escalations at Gate 3 relating to such work within his/her region.
The Construction Engineer will act as a point of consultation for internal stakeholders across the Connections Coordination, Design Delivery and Project Services teams; to assist with the successful development and delivery of projects.
The Construction Engineer within Asset Delivery is responsible for overseeing the onsite execution of works.
