Gas Networks Ireland is seeking a Construction Engineer to oversee on-site delivery of NSWC/DX pipeline projects within the Asset Delivery function. Reporting to the Senior Project Delivery Engineer, you will supervise construction activities, ensure HSQE compliance and manage contractor performance.
The role requires a third level engineering degree, at least five years in gas or related industries, a full driving licence, and strong analytical and communication skills.

The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end to end planning, designing and delivery of GNI’s portfolio of asset development programmes. The Asset Delivery function brings together all the technical and project support capabilities needed to take high-level projects and programmes from the Portfolio Office and translate these through from detailed design and project planning, to construction delivery and handover to Asset Operations.
Reporting to the Senior Project Delivery Engineer (NSWC / DX Pipelines), the Construction Engineer (NSWC / DX Pipelines) will be responsible for overseeing the construction delivery elements of specific NSWC and DX pipeline projects issued to Asset Delivery by the Portfolio Office. Acting as the primary point of contact for escalations at Gate 3 relating to such work within his/her region.
The Construction Engineer will act as a point of consultation for internal stakeholders across the Connections Coordination, Design Delivery and Project Services teams; to assist with the successful development and delivery of projects.
The Construction Engineer within Asset Delivery is responsible for overseeing the onsite execution of works.
