Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Completion of 4 years apprenticeship program
  2. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues such as faulty wiring, malfunctioning circuits, and equipment failure
  3. Properly and safely install, replace, and repair electrical systems, lighting fixtures, and electrical control and distribution equipment such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels, including energy-efficient systems
  4. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations, including in-slab installations
  5. Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors
  6. Splice, join, and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits
  7. Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment
  8. Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of the system following installation, replacement, or repair
  9. Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components
  10. Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices, and heating and cooling systems
  11. Plan and execute electrical installations, including EMT and conduit work
  12. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
  13. Support the growth and development of company culture
  14. Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  1. 5 - 6 years working in the field
  2. Leadership experience

Physical Requirements

  1. Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet for 10 hours a day
  2. Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs as needed
  3. Must be able to work in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures for 10 hours a day
