Job description

We are looking for an energized & passionate Conference & Banqueting Manager to be a part of The Metropole Hotel.

Guest Services

Ensure that the team receives training to enable them to carry out an effective and professional service.

Inform F&B Operations Manager of positive and negative opinions

Address guest complaints in the correct manner

Checking and maintaining all spaces to include; Tea rooms, The Met restaurant and Bar, Terrace whilst on duty and reporting any areas which require maintenance.

Guest relations - Ensuring table touches, reservations, table allocations, special occasions etc. are completed daily.

Training & Development

Take responsibility for operational on the job training of all team members, completing new SOP's and updating existing as standards and operations change. Responsible for training scheduling, recording and follow up at all times

Evaluate and give feedback on the performance of department team members on a regular basis.

Operations

Keep aware of trends, practices and equipment in F&B presentation and service in the industry through trade literature and competition check.

  • Responsible for a proactive level of service within the operation.
  • Ensure the team adhere to the operational policies of the restaurants

and bars.

  • Participate in the operation of the outlet when necessary, by taking orders, serving etc. ensuring guests are in no way inconvenienced.
  • Ensure that the opening and closing procedures are carried out and checked on a regular basis.

Staffing

  • Review weekly rosters of floor and bar team members within the operation to maximize customer satisfaction, so that payroll is controlled and monitored according to business levels and in line with budgetary target.
  • To ensure that the team have clear goals and responsibilities for all daily and weekly tasks in the form of a operational daily task plan.
  • Management of standards of personal hygiene and uniform in all outlets
