Job summary

Raidió Teilifís Éireann is seeking an experienced Compliance professional to lead the design and implementation of the organisation's Compliance Framework, ensuring it fits RTÉ’s size, scale and business model. You will perform risk assessments, reviews and control testing to strengthen governance.

The role requires strong report writing, stakeholder management, and ability to collaborate across teams while upholding RTÉ values. This is an ongoing contract, based in Dublin.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in compliance, governance, risk management, assurance, internal audit or a related discipline.
• Experience conducting assurance reviews, compliance monitoring or control testing.
• Experience developing and implementing organisational policies and governance frameworks.
• Excellent report writing and stakeholder management skills.
• Build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively across teams while role modelling the RTÉ values and behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Support in the design and implementation of the Compliance Framework for RTÉ and ensuring it is right sized for the size, scale and business model of RTÉ.
• Conduct detailed risk assessments, process reviews, and control evaluations, identifying gaps and recommending practical, commercially focused improvements.
• Monitor remediation actions arising from assurance activities, audits and investigations.
• Support in the preparation and reporting on regular compliance reporting matters, metrics and breaches for senior management and Board reporting.
• Support management of compliance related policies and registers, covering areas including, inter alia, Conflicts of Interest, Gifts & Hospitality, Fraud, Fair Trading and Risk Management.
• Maintain central policy registers and monitor policy compliance across RTÉ.

Meet the team

We are improving our Risk and Compliance activity, following the appointments of a Chief Risk and Compliance Officer and Head of Compliance. Risk & Compliance is responsible for safeguarding the organisation in relation to risks that may derail it from its strategic objectives. This involves design and implementation of the second line risk and compliance frameworks to support RTÉ in identifying, assessing, mitigating and reporting on these risks through its governance and Board Committees.

About the role

This appointment will be made at a Department Manager Grade 2 salary scale grade and is being offered on an ongoing contract basis. The salary scale for this grade is from €73,694 to €103,368 gross per annum.
