Job summary

Bon Secours Hospital, Tralee is inviting applications for the position of Health Care Assistant. The post is a 39-hour per week fixed-term contract for two years, based at Strand Street, Tralee, Co. Kerry.

The role involves delivering personal care and supporting patients with daily activities in a compassionate, patient-centred manner. The successful candidate will have Satisfactory acute hospital experience and commit to attaining the FETAC Level 5 Healthcare Assistant qualification within 1–2

Qualifications

Satisfactory relevant acute hospital experience.
Commit to attain FETAC Level 5 Healthcare Assistant qualification within 1-2 years of joining the organisation.
Knowledge in relation to the management of confidential patient information.
Ability to carry out basic procedures as delegated by and under the direction of registered nursing staff.
Demonstrates empathetic and caring approach to patients and relatives while maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Excellent Patient Care Skills.
