Job summary

ETHOS CARE LIMITED is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to support residents with daily living, ensuring privacy, dignity and high standards of care. You will help with activities, meals, and maintaining a clean, safe environment within a resident-centered ethos.

Responsibilities include social activities involvement and building respectful relationships, with training available for required certifications and a focus on compassionate, team-based care.

Qualifications

• Must have started or completed FETAC/QQI Major Award Level 5 in Healthcare or related field, or equivalent.
• Current and valid Infection Control, Manual Handling, Resident Moving & Handling, and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults Certificates (training can be provided if required).
• Modules in Care of the Older Person, Nutrition, and Palliative Care Support are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist residents in fulfilling activities of daily living, enabling them to be as independent as possible.
• Deliver a high standard of person-centred care, ensuring all practices reflect the privacy, dignity, and respect of our residents.
• Establish and maintain relationships with residents based on respect and equality.
• Promote, encourage, and practice the ethos of person-centred care.
• Participate in organising and carrying out social outings and in-house activities.
• Maintain residents’ dining rooms, living areas, and bedrooms in a neat, presentable, and hygienic state.
