Job summary

hello.de AG in Letterkenny, Ireland seeks a Healthcare SNA to support patients with physical, intellectual, or sensory disabilities in a clinical or residential setting. You will assist with daily living tasks and help implement care plans while ensuring safety and dignity.

The role requires QQI Level 5/6 Healthcare Support, experience with complex needs, excellent communication, and the ability to stay calm. Induction training and a supportive team are provided.

Qualifications

• Education: QQI Level 5/6 Healthcare Support or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous work with individuals with complex needs or in healthcare settings preferred.
• Soft skills: Exceptional patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Physical stamina: Ability to assist with manual handling and stay active.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written handovers.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Support: assist with mobility, feeding, dressing and personal hygiene while preserving dignity.
• Care Plan Execution: work with physiotherapists, nurses and other staff to carry out exercises or behavioural strategies.
• Safety & Monitoring: maintain a safe environment and report changes in condition promptly.
• Social Engagement: provide emotional support and encourage participation in activities.
• Documentation: keep accurate, confidential progress notes in line with regulations.
