Job summary

O'Sullivan's Pharmacy Grange in Cork is seeking a fully qualified Pharmacy Technician for a permanent, full-time position. The role supports a busy dispensary with a focus on accurate dispensing, patient care, and efficient service.

The schedule is 9am–6pm, 39 hours per week, with a late shift and no Sundays or bank holidays. You will work with an experienced team in a community pharmacy that values stability, patient safety, and strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Must be a fully qualified Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience in a busy dispensary environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify prescriptions with accuracy.
• Maintain storage, security, and stock rotation of medicines.
• Ensure medicines are in date and fit for supply.
• Answer queries and support customers professionally.
• Dispense medications in line with prescriber instructions.
• File prescriptions and keep organized records.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
• Dispose of returned medicines safely.
• Maintain patient profiles and medication histories.
• Manage dispensary stock levels and supplier communication.
• Receive and check incoming deliveries.
• Prepare extemporaneous products as required.
• Complete end-of-month paperwork and claims procedures.
• Follow company policies and deliver exceptional customer service.
