Job summary

Depaul in Dublin is seeking a part-time Cleaner to join our central services team. You will help maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the house, its communal areas and offices, working with residents and staff.

Reporting to the Deputy Manager, you will carry out cleaning, laundry tasks and basic admin duties, uphold health and safety, and contribute to Depaul’s values-based approach to homelessness support. This role is 28 hours per week with a salary of €22,230.54 per annum.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year’s experience cleaning offices/public residential settings.
• Knowledge of cleaning materials and their correct usage per MSDS.
• An understanding of homelessness and the needs of those served.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace.
• Ability to manage own workload and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices and communal areas to a high standard.
• Undertake housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Maintain health and safety and hygiene standards.
• Carry out administrative duties as required.
• Record information in daily logs and communicate with staff.
• Promote best practice in cleanliness and hygiene.
