Job summary

Bluebird Care is seeking Registered Nurses to provide safe, high-quality care for a child with complex needs in a home setting in Clondalkin, Dublin 22. The role supports a total of 15 hours weekly across several short shifts, with two nurses on some days and one on others.

Shifts are part-time and permanent, working on a Monday–Friday pattern with an hourly rate of €40. The nurse will work under CNM2 and the local clinical management team to ensure optimal care at home.

Qualifications

• Must be competent with dressing changes and skilled in identifying infection or skin changes that require medical referral.
• Experience caring for a child with complex needs is desirable.
• Ability to work within a home-care setting with support from CNM2 and local clinical management.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, quality nursing care for a child with complex needs in the home setting.
• Collaborate with CNM2 and local clinical team to plan and review care.
• Dress wounds, monitor infection signs, and escalate as required.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate with family.

Availability

• One nurse {RCN/RGN} to assist one day per week {three hours}
• Two nurses {RCN/RGN} to complete dressings two days per week {three hours}
• Total hours required =15 hours

Employment: Part-time, permanent

Support: Supported by CNM2 and local clinical management team

Pay

• Monday- Friday : €40 per hour

Nurses must demonstrate that they have the desired competencies to care for the specific child for example;

• Must be competent with dressing changes and skilled in the identification of infection/any changes in skin integrity that requires medical referral. (identify competencies required )
