Job description

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

Hybrid Role - 3 Days per week onsite in our Galway Office.

You will report to the Community Team Manager.

#WeAreEA and we exist to inspire the world to play. EA values creativity, pioneering, passion, determination, learning, and teamwork. We mean things like acting with curiosity, speaking up with original ideas, and committing to each other as one team.

Come join us! We're hiring a Community Coordinator to join EA's Fan Care Organization. EA's Fan Care organization exists to help our fans get the most fun from their games. From onboarding new players to getting them back in the game, we support fans across their EA experiences. We value people who bring new ideas to make Fan Care a great place to be and be from. We aim to make EA known for taking care of its fans. We're fans taking care of fans and people talking to people.

We're looking for a Community Coordinator who is passionate about creating engaging player experiences and promoting healthy online communities. You will blend player support, community engagement, and moderation to help players connect, learn, and enjoy our games. Rather than simply responding to individual issues, you'll recognize new trends, shape conversations, and create scalable solutions that benefit thousands of players.

Working with Community Leads, Studios, Player Support, and Fan Care partners, you'll help transform player conversations into meaningful engagement while ensuring our community spaces remain welcoming, informative, and aligned with EA's values.

What you'll do:
  • Foster healthy, engaging community spaces across EA Forums and other community platforms.
  • Provide player support by helping resolve gameplay, technical, and account-related issues.
  • Clarify misinformation and educate players using accurate information and trusted resources.
  • Balance support, education, and engagement without defaulting exclusively to reactive issue resolution.
  • Exercise judgment on when engagement adds value—and when allowing community discussion to develop naturally is the better outcome.
  • Enforce community guidelines fairly while promoting respectful, constructive discussions.
  • Guide conversations back toward constructive discussion when threads become unproductive or off-topic.
  • Manage disruptive behaviors such as thread necromancy, misinformation, duplicate discussions, or rule violations.
  • Identify recurring questions, new trends, risks, and opportunities, and communicate insights to Community Leads and Studio partners.
  • Help improve player communications and self-service resources by recognizing patterns across community conversations.
  • Help shape future engagement strategies through ongoing observation of player behavior.
  • Build relationships with Super Users, creators, and trusted community members.
  • Be an escalation point for community context requiring Lead awareness.
What you’ll bring:
  • 2+ years supporting online gaming communities, customer support, or community management.
  • Native level fluency in German both written and verbal; professional fluency in English both written and verbal
  • Experience with community platforms such as EA Forums, Discord, Steam, Reddit, or similar platforms.
  • Experience creating public-facing communications or community content.
  • Familiarity with community moderation practices and online community health.
  • Experience producing content that is clear, grammatically sound, and easy for diverse audiences to understand.
  • Understanding of public engagement, including what to communicate, when to engage, and when to elevate.
  • Identify patterns across large volumes of player feedback.
  • Comfortable adapting to changing priorities.
  • Experience managing multiple active community conversations simultaneously while balancing support, engagement, and moderation responsibilities
  • Experience navigating difficult community conversations while maintaining a respectful, impartial, and professional public presence.
  • Curiosity about player behavior, motivations, and community dynamics.
  • Experience working within online communities, social platforms, or live service games.
