Job summary

CAI is hiring a Commissioning Project Manager to lead commissioning delivery on large-scale data centre projects in Europe. You will manage multidisciplinary teams including Electrical, Mechanical and Controls Engineers, developing execution plans and schedules while driving safety and best practices.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in mission critical or complex infrastructure projects, strong stakeholder management, and a PMP certification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have hands‑on experience leading commissioning on large scale data centre or complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to manage stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with commissioning plans, procedures and integrated testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning programmes from construction through handover.
• Coordinate Electrical, Mechanical and Controls Engineers during commissioning.
• Develop commissioning execution plans, schedules and procedures.
• Drive safety culture and commissioning best practices on projects.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, client stakeholders and operations teams.
• Lead FATs, SATs, IST and final turnover activities.
• Manage project reporting, risk registers, issues and change control.
• Ensure delivery against schedule, quality and performance objectives.
• Act as trusted advisor to clients throughout commissioning lifecycle.

As our Mission Critical business continues to grow across Europe, we are seeking experienced Commissioning Project Managers to lead commissioning delivery on large scale data centre projects.

What You'll Do

• Lead commissioning programmes from construction through handover
• Manage multidisciplinary commissioning teams including Electrical, Mechanical and Controls Engineers
• Develop commissioning execution plans, schedules and procedures
• Drive project safety culture and commissioning best practices
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, client stakeholders and operations teams
• Lead FATs, SATs, integrated systems testing (IST) and final turnover activities
• Manage project reporting, risk registers, issue resolution and change control
• Ensure successful project delivery against schedule, quality and performance objectives
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the commissioning lifecycle

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years' experience in mission critical, data centre or complex infrastructure projects
• Experience leading commissioning activities on large scale projects
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and critical environments
• Experience with commissioning plans, procedures and integrated testing
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced project environment
• PMP or equivalent project management certification desirable
• Able to work in the EU without sponsorship now or in the future
