Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group in Cork is seeking a Commis Chef on a casual contract to assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations. You will help monitor food quality, ensure hygiene standards, and support the team in a fast-paced hotel kitchen environment.

The role requires a genuine interest in food, ability to work under pressure, and knowledge of HACCP procedures. A collaborative team player mindset is essential for success in this setting.

• Experience in hotels or similar kitchen role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the overall running of the kitchen.

• Follow Head Chef's examples of excellence and efficiency.
• Adhere to HACCP regulations at all times.
• Support kitchen staff in observing hygiene during preparation and storage.

Your Job:

• Assist the Head Chef & Sous Chef with the overall running of the kitchen.
• Take direction from department managers and assist in the monitoring of food quality and hygiene standards.
• Follow the talented Head Chef's example of excellence and efficiency.
• Adhere to HACCP regulations at all times
• Support your fellow kitchen staff in observing appropriate systems of hygiene during food preparation and storage.

What You'll Need:

• Have previous experience working within hotels or in a similar role.
• Have a passion for and genuine interest in food.
• Be a team player.
• Be able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Have good knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations.
