Commercial Finance Manager

We are currently working with a growing multinational in the construction/engineering industry, who are going through incredible growth and are looking for an experienced commercial accountant to join their finance team as a commercial finance manager. The role is initially office based in Kildare but flexibility once settled into the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Management of Project Budgets, analysing project performance, as well as understanding reporting on variances to senior management.
• Driving financial insights, and overall performance of the business.
• Liaising with Quantity Surveyors on each Project to ensure that their Cost Value Reconciliations reports are reconciled against the original project’s budget.
• Liaising with the Commercial team and the Accounts Payable team in respect to payment schedules and monthly cashflow projections.

Key Requirements of the Commercial Finance Manager

• Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA), with a minimum of 4 years PQE.
• Previous experience in a construction/engineering environment would be beneficial, but not essential.
• Strong financial acumen and excellent communication skills dealing with non-finance people on a daily basis.
• Good organizational skills as the ability to multitask on various projects at any one time will be required.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
