Role overview:

This role is instrumental in supporting the global sales teams in winning new business, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, and providing clear, insightful reporting on overall company performance.

A key responsibility is tracking current performance against forecasts and analyzing historic results to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. The individual will play a critical role in delivering timely and accurate reporting to support strategic decision-making and commercial planning.

A sales-focused mindset, combined with strong accounting knowledge, is essential. The person will take a leading or supporting role in ensuring commercial and client-facing teams have the financial insights and operational support they need from the shared services function to serve our customers effectively.

This is an exciting opportunity offering a high level of responsibility and the chance to have a significant impact on the company's performance and growth.

What you will do:

  • Analyze historic financial performance to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement; support strategic decision-making with relevant insights.
  • Maintaining, monitoring and tracking current performance against financial forecast models and budgets, highlighting key deviations and working with stakeholders to understand and address them.
  • Take the lead in maintaining price lists, tracking competitor information, and managing the pricing committee.
  • Provide commercial support for finance input into tender responses; assist with pricing questions/quotations, preparation and review of commercial contract terms, and deal pricing.
  • Review internal accounting reports and ensure proper application of revenue recognition policies.
  • Take an active role in managing key supplier relationships and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the broader team on aspects of the monthly reporting cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Be comfortable in leveraging the available analytic tools (Snowflake, Tableau, Co-pilot) available to the team along with the Salesforce (Certinia) CRM.
  • Prepare for future ESG reporting requirements by collaborating with cross-functional teams and developing internal processes to collect, validate, and manage ESG-related data.
  • Monitor evolving ESG regulations and frameworks (e.g. CSRD, SEC climate rules) to stay ahead of customer expectations, and support ESG-related disclosures in RFPs, contracts, and due diligence processes.
  • Manage global insurance policies and contractually required renewals.
  • Support ongoing complex corporate planning and tax strategy initiatives.
  • Participating, as required, in Finance process, system and other projects, working closely with the Head of Finance and the Senior Finance Manager.

What you have

Knowledge & Experience:

  • An excellent understanding of commercial sales contracts and how they relate to revenue recognition.
  • Software pricing methodologies and how they impact on revenue and financial performance.
  • Broad accounting skills and knowledge from across a busy finance function.
  • A good grounding in the overall finance function for a company with global operations, as the role touches on different areas: monthly reporting (FRS102 and IFRS), company secretarial, ESG and tax planning.
  • Understanding and managing global group structure.
  • Commercially minded and analytically strong, with the ability to interpret complex financial and non-financial data to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks, suggest improvements, and follow through to implementation. Resourceful and works constructively with a team.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator, able to build effective relationships across departments/external advisors (e.g., sales, legal) and translate financial insights for non-finance audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with a high standard of accuracy, particularly when handling financial reporting and forecast data.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with the flexibility to manage shifting priorities and new responsibilities (e.g., ESG readiness).
  • Solution-focused and pragmatic, with the ability to balance ideal outcomes with operational and commercial realities.
  • Technically proficient and systems-savvy, ideally with experience working with or implementing ERP systems (e.g., Certinia) and data reporting tools.
  • Curious and forward-thinking, with a genuine interest in sustainability, digital transformation, and continuous improvement within finance.

Education, Training & Experience Required:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with 5+ years PQE.
  • Senior position within a global accounting team with significant experience supporting sales teams is essential. Familiarity with managing and supporting entities in several geographies is an advantage.

  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Co-pilot.

Daon DNA. Identity continuity is the idea the whole company turns on. It means a person carries one secure identity from the moment they open an account through every login, every recovery, every channel - verified in seconds, without friction, and without ever being made to feel like a suspect. Twenty-five years of biometric work sits behind that, and the problem keeps changing shape: deepfakes, injection attacks, and now autonomous software agents requesting access they haven't earned. Roughly 300 of us work on it from Ireland, the United Kingdom, Serbia, Spain, Singapore, Australia, the Philippines and the United States.

Come and join us if you want your work felt by hundreds of millions of people, every single day.

Selection process

  • Qualified applicants will be invited to schedule a 45-minute introductory call with our HR Manager
  • Candidate selected for 2nd round interview will then be invited to interview with team members
  • Candidate selected for 3rd round interview will then be invited to interview with hiring manager
