Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment partners with a leading Irish manufacturing and engineering organisation to recruit a Commercial Director in Clare. This senior role drives commercial strategy and performance, reporting to the Managing Director as part of the SLT.

The role demands 10+ years of commercial leadership, a proven track record in growth, and the ability to convert new business into long-term strategic accounts with multinational exposure. A strong negotiator with financial acumen is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of strong commercial leadership experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial technology or a related B2B environment.
• A track record of delivering sustainable, profitable revenue growth.
• A demonstrable track record of winning new accounts and developing new business with medium and large organisations, including multinational customers.
• Experience developing newly won customers into significant, long term strategic accounts, as well as managing and growing established key accounts.
• Strong commercial and financial judgement, including margin management and negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute ATCs commercial strategy in support of profitable, sustainable growth.
• Identify and pursue high potential target accounts and build a strong, consistent pipeline of qualified new business opportunities.
• Open new strategic accounts and develop them into meaningful, long term customer relationships.
• Build relationships with relevant decision makers and stakeholders within target organisations and develop a strong understanding of their operational challenges and investment priorities.
• Take direct commercial ownership of organisations key and strategic accounts, with responsibility for retention, growth and long-term customer value.
• Maintain strong commercial discipline across opportunity selection, pricing, margin and negotiation.

This is a high-impact leadership role for an experienced individual to lead commercial growth and help shape the next stage of organization. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working as part of the senior leadership team, the Commercial Director will have overall responsibility for commercial strategy and performance.
