Job summary

Amazon Web Services seeks a Colo Physical Security Architect to lead security designs for Colocation Data Centers across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. You will work with Architects, Engineers and Designers to implement security controls that meet AWS standards, while guiding external partners and internal teams.

The role requires a strong background in physical security principles, CPTED, and experience in reviewing submittals, with travel up to 25% for site assessments and design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Experience in security design for mission critical facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of CPTED and data center security standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead designs (construction drawings and specifications) for physical security elements for Colo DC projects.
• Collaborate with security teams to develop design standards and evaluate cost, risk and benefits.
• Communicate designs to internal and external stakeholders and consultants.
• Maintain basis of design documents and template specifications for Colo security elements.
• Create security design scope of work for Colo DC project RFPs.
• Review and direct work of Colo physical security engineering consultants.
