Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited is seeking a civil/industrial engineer to lead physical security design for data center projects. You will create construction drawings and specifications for cameras, access control, and fencing, coordinating with architectural, electrical, mechanical, and IT disciplines.

You will use Blue Beam along with Revit/CAD tools, supervise design consultants, and ensure deliverables meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities (data centers, power gen, oil&gas).
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment.
• Experience in commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead designs (construction drawings and specs) for physical security elements (cameras, access control, intrusion detection, fences, gates) for DC projects.
• Use Blue Beam and other drafting tech to produce designs in Revit (ACC)/CAD in collaboration with design teams.
• Coordinate security requirements with other disciplines during design process.
• Review and direct the work of physical security engineering design consultants.
• Be SME of all designs, supervise and approve all design deliverables from 3rd party and in-house teams.
• Collaborate with other security orgs within AWS to develop design standards and evaluate cost/benefit.
• Participate in maintenance Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications.
• Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
• Travel for site assessments and design meetings; anticipated travel not to exceed 25%.
