Job summary

Americold is hiring a Forklift Operator to safely receive, store, and ship food products within a warehouse environment. You will operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and related equipment to move goods efficiently.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work independently, and readiness to perform additional duties such as inventory and battery changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently load and unload freight using appropriate equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, and label/sort/wrap as directed.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners safely and in compliance with standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean, orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties such as inventory, cleaning, battery changes as needed.
