Job summary

Báinín is a small independent coffee shop in Annascaul, Co. Kerry. We are seeking a motivated and organised Manager to oversee the operation of the business and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Hospitality Management or related discipline, or equivalent relevant hospitality management experience.
• Strong knowledge of hospitality operations and customer service.
• HACCP and food safety procedures experience and understanding.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily café operations and ensure smooth service.
• Supervise and support staff, including rota planning.
• Order stock and liaise with suppliers to maintain inventory.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and safety compliance.
• Handle cash reconciliation and financial controls during service.
• Lead and support the team during busy periods to maintain performance.

Báinín is an independent speciality coffee shop located in Annascaul, Co. Kerry. We are seeking a motivated and organised Manager to oversee the operation of the business and help deliver an exceptional customer experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operation of the café, supervising and supporting staff, preparing rotas, ordering stock, liaising with suppliers, maintaining high standards of customer service, ensuring compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations, handling cash reconciliation and supporting the team during busy service periods. The Manager will play a key leadership role by fostering a positive working environment, maintaining operational standards and ensuring the smooth running of the business.

Essential Requirements

• Qualification in Hospitality Management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant hospitality management experience.
• Strong knowledge of hospitality operations and customer service.
• Excellent knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures, with the ability to implement and maintain food safety standards.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Desirable

• Barista training experience.
• Experience with staff training and development.
• Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash reconciliation.
• Experience managing stock and supplier relationships.
