Job summary

Stryker Ireland is offering a 6-, 9-, or 12-month finance placement based in Limerick. You will work with your team leader and supervisor on a Finance improvement project, contribute to budgeting inputs, and support month-end processes and forecasting.

Mentors and leaders will provide feedback to help you grow in a dynamic healthcare setting. The role emphasizes integrity, teamwork and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a university course related to Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business.
• Candidates should demonstrate honesty, integrity and compliance with quality systems and policies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities are essential.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify a Finance improvement project with objectives, scope, milestones and evaluation.
• Involve in the monthly end process, posting journals and liaising with the shared service center.
• Contribute to budgeting by inputting budgets and projections with accountability for targets.
• Support quarterly, monthly and weekly forecasting activities for the site.
• Help track capital spend, monitor site spend and inventory movements.
• Assist with compliance and internal/external audit activities.

Job description

This role will be based in our Limericksite. Throughout the placement, you will be an integral part of Stryker's 2027 Cooperative cohort. Tasks and responsibilities may include: Together, with your Stryker team leader and college supervisor, identify a Finance improvement project along with project objectives, scope, success factors, milestones and evaluation. Involvement in financial month end process (posting journals, reporting, liaising with our shared service center etc). Input into budgeting process through taking responsibility for budget inputs, working with the business to set the appropriate budgets and projections, and holding others accountable for performance against targets. Forecasting on a quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis. Assist the team in the tracking of capital spent and monitoring site spend and inventory movements. Support compliance and internal/external audit activities.

What you will need:

Currently enrolled in a university course in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or other related courses for the duration of the placement. Honesty and integrity; must comply with the quality system, regulations, and company policies. Self-motivated, flexible, and hardworking - enjoys working in a dynamic, fast and results orientated environment. Reliable, dependable, and punctual. Organised, focused, and capable of multi-tasking. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Good verbal and written communication skills with a basic level of PC skills. Is a team player and capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team. Available for either 6, 9 or 12 months - exact duration and start date to be discussed with your Talent Acquisition Business Partner at Stryker.
