Job summary

Freshford Area CE Scheme is looking for a Caretaker/Groundskeeper to maintain facilities, pitches, and grounds at St. Lachtain's GAA Club. This role ensures a clean and safe environment for players and visitors. Training will be provided for applicants without prior experience.

Responsibilities include maintaining playing pitches, cleaning club facilities, conducting safety checks, and assisting with events. Ideal candidates should demonstrate reliability and good communication skills, and be flexible to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping or caretaking is desirable.
• Knowledge of pitch preparation and grass care.
• Practical maintenance skills including carpentry, plumbing, or electrical.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pitches to GAA standards and general landscaping.
• Caretake clubhouse and ensure cleanliness of facilities.
• Conduct regular safety checks and report issues.
• Prepare facilities for matches and community events.
