Job summary

Version 1 in Ireland is seeking a lead architect to drive architectural design on strategic projects, including cloud migrations and procurement. You will work with analysts and delivery teams to translate business needs into robust, scalable solutions and present designs to governance forums.

You will mentor colleagues, contribute to standards, and manage key stakeholder relationships, with flexible/remote working options and a strong focus on growth and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering technical solutions to business requirements across database, backend, integration and UX.
• Able to influence senior business and tech stakeholders effectively.
• Produce concise, accurate solution designs aligned with governance and business needs.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud-native solutions and cloud migrations.
• Familiar with architectural modelling tools and frameworks (Sparx, TOGAF).

Responsibilities

• Lead architect on strategic projects, including procurement and software development initiatives.
• Collaborate with business analysts and team members to define non-functional requirements.
• Design technology solutions that meet business needs and align with standards and strategy.
• Present designs to architecture governance forums for review and approval; develop roadmaps with enterprise architects.
• Coordinate implementation with delivery teams and ensure alignment with high-level designs.
• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to colleagues; contribute to architecture standards and reusable patterns.
• Manage relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
