Job summary

Ministry Brands is seeking a Senior .NET Developer for its Galway R&D centre to modernise the accounting platform into a cloud-native Unified Accounting Service. You will design, build and operate scalable services, while leveraging AI-assisted development and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You’ll work on greenfield projects and modernising existing apps, delivering secure software with event-driven architectures and AI-powered capabilities in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in commercial software development.
• Strong experience with C#, .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core and EF Core.
• REST API design and microservices experience.
• Strong SQL Server and relational DB experience.
• Experience with Blazor, React or Vue.
• Cloud-native apps, preferably Azure (AWS also valuable).
• Docker, Kubernetes, Git and CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Agile software development experience.
• Familiarity with AI developer tools like GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain cloud-native .NET services and APIs.
• Modernise legacy .NET apps into scalable, event-driven microservices.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture and UX teams to deliver solutions.
• Integrate AI, RAG capabilities into features.
• Contribute to CI/CD, automation, testing and quality practices.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain engineering standards.
