Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking an Infrastructure Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud and hybrid infrastructure, ensuring the integrity of our cloud-native applications across multi-cloud and on-premises environments.

The role emphasizes automation, secure foundations, and embedding security throughout development and operations, working with teams across SpaceXSI brands. Candidates should have strong experience in cloud security, IaC, and container security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in cloud security, infrastructure security, or other security roles
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and tool development

Responsibilities

• Design secure cloud architectures across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Build and secure mission-critical applications in hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
• Develop and maintain IaC templates with embedded security controls
• Assist with regular security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure and services
• Implement and manage cloud security tools and services (e.g., CSPM, CWPP, CASB)
• Manage identities and roles across cloud and hybrid environments
• Monitor and remediate infrastructure to comply with regulations and best practices (PCI, NIST CSF, GDPR, HIPAA)
• Design secure container standards and automation for CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain Kubernetes security aligned with best practices
• Collaborate with development teams to embed security in CI/CD
• Secure and enhance CI/CD pipelines; maintain code scanning platforms
• Monitor and respond to security events and incidents in cloud/hybrid environments
• Maintain SIEM data pipelines for reliable alerting
• Build, deploy, maintain security operations infra using Python, Terraform, Puppet
• Develop dashboards and alerts from security metrics
• Maintain cloud security policies, standards, procedures
• Own security projects end to end
• Stay current with cloud security threats and mitigations
