Job summary

Children’s Health Ireland is seeking a Clinical Placement Co-ordinator to guide and support nursing students in assigned practice placement areas, ensuring placements meet the education programme's standards and learning outcomes.

You will facilitate fair practice-based assessments through liaison with staff nurses and preceptors, encourage application of theory to practice, and participate in ongoing practice development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Be registered on the Children’s Nursing division of the NMBI or be entitled to registration.
• Hold an honours bachelor degree in nursing at QQI level 8 or equivalent.
• Have a minimum of five years post-registration experience, with two years in children’s nursing.
• Experience with nursing students in clinical practice settings.
• Preceptorship in Practice completed within the last two years.
• Good knowledge of Irish health services and nurse education.
