Qualifications

• Hospital pharmacy experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacy technician support within a hospital clinical pharmacy service.
• Undertake dispensary duties, including preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Support pharmacists with safe and efficient supply of medicines to patients.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and storage of medicines.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of prescriptions and medication orders.
• Work closely with pharmacists, doctors, nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain high standards of medicines safety and patient care.
• Follow hospital policies, procedures and professional standards at all times.

QQI Level 6 Pharmacy Technician qualification
