Job summary

Mater Private Cork is recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to oversee the Cardiology Day Ward during maternity leave. You will coordinate activities, manage resources and provide clinical leadership within a multi-disciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have NMBI registration, significant interventional cardiology experience, and a strong track record in people management and professional nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Registered with NMBI or equivalent body.
• Advanced course in Interventional Cardiology preferable.
• Experience and up-to-date knowledge of Cath Lab and Interventional Cardiology.
• Detailed knowledge of cardiac procedures, medical conditions and interventions.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a people management role.
• Management qualification preferable.
• Proven leadership and change management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and skills.
• Ability to make decisions with excellent organisational skills.
• Current BLS and ACLS certificate.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Vacancy: Maternity Leave cover

We are currently inviting applications for the position of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 for our Cardiology Day Ward for the purpose of Maternity leave cover.

As a member of the nurse management team the post of CNM2 holds a pivotal role in the coordination and management of activity and resources within the department. As a role model the CNM2 will promote a culture of open communication and best practice in the delivery of nursing care, providing clinical expertise, advice and support within the multi-professional team.

Candidate Requirements include:

• Registration with NMBI, or equivalent body.
• Advanced course in Interventional Cardiology preferable
• Previous experience and up to date knowledge of Cath Lab and Interventional Cardiology
• Detailed knowledge of cardiac procedures, medical conditions and interventions.
