Clinical Business Analyst Location: Bon Secours Health System (Travel across Cork, Galway, Limerick, Dublin and Tralee as required) Bon Secours Health System (BSHS) is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Business Analyst to join our BonsConnect Electronic Health Record (EHR) Programme. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in one of the most significant healthcare transformation initiatives in Ireland. As BSHS continues the implementation of BonsConnect, we are looking for individuals who are passionate about improving healthcare through digital transformation.
The implementation of BonsConnect is a cornerstone of the Bon Secours Health System Strategy and will support the delivery of high-quality, connected care across our hospitals.
Working in partnership with MEDITECH, BSHS is implementing a state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record solution across all five hospitals, transforming how care is delivered and experienced.
The Clinical Business Analyst acts as the critical link between clinical users, operational teams and technical specialists throughout the EHR implementation lifecycle. You will work closely with the Inpatient Medicine Working Group and broader BonsConnect Programme team to analyse current clinical workflows, define future-state processes, support system build and testing activities, and ensure successful adoption of the EHR solution. The role offers the opportunity to directly influence how clinical care is delivered across the organisation while helping to shape the future digital landscape of healthcare within Bon Secours Health System.
Engage with clinical, operational and administrative stakeholders to understand current workflows and identify opportunities for improvement. Analyse and document business and clinical requirements. Design future-state workflows aligned with best practice and EHR capabilities. Identify opportunities for clinical workflow standardisation across departments and hospital sites. Assess clinical, operational and organisational impacts of proposed changes.
Support the Inpatient Medicine Working Group in system build reviews, enhancements and configuration activities. Collaborate with application analysts and technical teams during system design and configuration. Validate that system functionality meets agreed business and clinical requirements. Participate in workflow demonstrations, system reviews and configuration validation sessions. Support data migration planning and data validation activities where required.
Support system testing activities including workflow validation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), high-level validation and parallel testing. Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and supporting documentation. Facilitate end-user training sessions, workshops and workflow validation activities. Develop training materials, standard operating procedures and quick reference guides. Provide onsite and remote go-live support and assist end users throughout transition periods. Contribute to post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Build effective working relationships with clinicians, nursing staff, allied health professionals, operational managers and executive stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication between clinical users, programme teams and vendors. Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project progress effectively. Support issue resolution, decision-making and risk management activities. Collaborate with MEDITECH and other third-party solution providers to support successful programme delivery.
Support organisational change initiatives associated with EHR implementation. Promote adoption of new digital workflows and ways of working. Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement activities. Undertake additional duties as required to support successful delivery of the BonsConnect Programme.
