Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment, in partnership with an international consultancy based in Tipperary, seeks an experienced qualified accountant to join the compliance division. You will manage client relationships end to end, from preparation of financial statements to meetings and billing, with involvement in taxation and company secretarial returns.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
• Practice background—ideally gained in a small to medium-sized firm.
• Ability to run a full set of financial statements from draft to client sign-off.
• Audit exposure or tax qualification is an advantage but not required.
• Confident communicator with face-to-face client interaction.
• Strong attention to detail, deadline-driven and resilient under pressure.
• Proficient in MS Office and accounting software packages.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, draft and finalise financial statements (audit and audit-exempt) for a nationwide client base.
• Meet clients directly, present numbers and advise on implications for the business.
• Take ownership of reconciliations, accounts file prep and billing within budget and standards.
• Support clients with general business, financial and accounting advice.
• Contribute to consulting assignments such as financial analysis and modelling.
