Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Cleaning Operative for Portlaoise schools campus on a part-time basis. You will join a team focused on brightening spaces, maintaining a welcoming environment, and completing daily cleaning tasks to support students and staff.

Experience helps but is not essential; training will be provided. You’ll work flexibly, solo or with others, and must communicate clearly. The role includes safeguarding checks and Garda Vetting as part of our welfare commitment.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning roles is preferred but not essential.
• Able to work alone or as part of a team.
• Willing to adapt to changing duties and schedules.
• Good spoken and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Brighten the building's spaces and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks as per the list.
• Assist with incoming tasks and ensure quick, spotless service.

What you'll do:

• Brighten the building's spaces
• Help our teams maintain a welcoming environment, completing your list of daily cleaning tasks
• Support with incoming tasks, providing a speedy and spotless service
• Help us keep our teams and students safe through safety and sanitation procedures

What you'll bring:

• Cleaning experience is great, but not essential—we’ll show you the ropes!
• You’re happy working solo or teaming up with others
• You’re flexible and ready to jump into whatever the day brings
• You're a team player with good spoken and written communication skills
