Intact Insurance Ireland DAC is seeking an experienced Fraud Investigator to manage the investigation and handling of suspected fraud across the claims process. The role involves reviewing claims, conducting OSINT checks, and coordinating with Investigators, Solicitors, and external partners to determine the appropriate action.

This role entails the investigation and handling of suspected fraud cases through all stages of the claims process. You will be experienced in the investigation and handling of suspect claims and have an awareness of the litigation process.
Predominantly desk-based, you will review and assess claims, liaising with customers, Investigators, Solicitors and third parties on a one-to-one basis. The role involves identifying and triaging potentially fraudulent claims from manual referrals, internal alerts, sample reviews and proactive analysis, conducting initial fraud assessments, and determining the appropriate course of action, whether that be internal investigation, referral to SIU or external partners, or returning the claim to BAU claims handling.
You will also carry out OSINT investigations, including social media profiling, digital footprint checks and open-source data enrichment, while developing intelligence-led insights on emerging fraud trends and supporting the wider Counter Fraud strategy through early detection and disruption. The role includes supporting reporting to and liaison with An Garda Síochána, as well as working collaboratively with colleagues as part of a team. Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and organisational skills are essential for success in this position.
