With Divisions in plant hire, civils, rail, and demolition & construction, they are looking to add a Civil/Structural Engineer to their team, for their next period of company growth.

Requirements
  • Honours Degree in Engineering Civil, Structural or Similar.
  • Chartered member of Engineers Ireland or progressing towards Chartered Engineer.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an engineering consultancy design office.
  • A thorough understanding of Building Control Legislation, Building Regulations and industry best practice.
  • Be familiar with principles of Sustainable Drainage (SuDS)
  • Strong report writing skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Experienced and proficient in use of AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Tekla Tedds & Structural Designer an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, conscientious and capable of working to deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Driving License and own transport essential.
  • Must be currently in Ireland, eligible to work and able to take up a full-time position in the coming weeks.
Responsibilities
  • Design, production and technical management of the Structural & Civil engineering design process on a range of projects for mostly private sector clients.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, industry standards and project specifications.
  • Revise and update drawings based on feedback and project changes.
  • Coordination of information between designers and external stakeholders engaged in the designs of the works.
  • Coordinating & checking design prepared by other engineers & external consultants.
  • Participation in drawing/design review & client meetings.
  • Design of foul sewer & wastewater treatment systems.
  • Design of storm sewer & drainage systems.
  • Construction stage inspections.
  • Use of BCMS system for projects.
