Job summary

Vickerstock are recruiting a Graduate Civil Engineer to join a leading civil contractor working across the South West of Ireland. You will visit sites, supervise subcontractors, and contribute to quality checks and reporting.

You will receive high-class training across site supervision, project management, and construction software such as AutoCAD, Procore, Aconex and TotalStation. A full Irish or UK driving licence and the right to work in Ireland are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Construction, Civil Engineering or related field (placement year counts).
• Willingness to learn new areas of construction and grow career.
• Full Irish or UK Driving Licence.
• Right to work in Ireland.
• Ability to travel between sites in the South West of Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Visit sites across the South West of Ireland.
• Supervise subcontractors on site.
• Review works on site and report to management.
• Perform quality checks on works and documentation.
• Ensure regular documentation is completed.
• Support upgrades and maintenance to water and wastewater infrastructure.

Location: Cork, Kerry, Limerick and surrounding areas

Role: Graduate Civil Engineer

Sector: Water & Wastewater

Your new role

As a Graduate Engineer you will work across and receive high-class training and education across the below areas:

• Site Supervision - including the supervision of subcontractors
• Quality - including quality checks, inspections, documentation and processes
• Project Management - taking part in progress meetings, project management documentation, ensuring projects are on time, on schedule and on budget
• Construction Software & Processes - using software including but not limited to AutoCAD, Procore, Aconex, TotalStation & more

You will:

• Visit sites across the South West of Ireland
• Supervise subcontractors
• Review works on site and report back to management
• Perform quality checks
• Ensure regular documentation is completed
• Work on upgrades and maintenance to Water and Waste water plants and infrastructure

What you'll need to be successful

• At least 2 years of experience in Construction, Civil Engineering or a related field (your placement year counts!)
• Willingness to learn new areas of construction and grow your career
• A full Irish or UK Driving Licence
• The right to work in Ireland
• The ability to travel between sites in the South West of Ireland
