Job Location: Dublin

Our client is one of Irelands leading Civil, Mechanical and Structural Consultancy who require a civil engineer to join their busy team. Established for over 25 years they are committed to an ethos of teamwork and quality work. Their project portfolio is impressive and diverse and offers an exciting opportunity for a civil engineer to join their team.

They primarily operate within the property sector, looking for candidates with experience in developing infrastructure designs for large-scale residential, commercial, industrial, and similar developments. Ideal applicants will have a background in preparing engineering reports and planning documentation, along with strong knowledge of Irish Water standards, local authority requirements for road access, traffic, parking, drainage, and water supply—as well as expertise in nature-based drainage solutions.

Civil Engineer Responsibilities:

• Reporting directly to director or Team Leader
• Confident using a range of design packages including AutoCAD
• Managing the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects from the concept stage through to the construction stage
• Conduct design reviews with clients / stakeholders
• Preparation of technical specifications and documents
• Preparation of clear and well-structured design calculations, reports drawings and other deliverables
• Good planning and organisational skills.
• Strong working knowledge of the design and specification of civil engineering materials

Civil Engineer Job Criteria:

• 3 – 4 years+’ experience in similar role
• Civil Engineering Degree or Another Relative Degree
• Knowledge in Irish Water
• Experience in developing infrastructure designs
• Working towards or hold Chartered Status
• Previous experience working on civil design/drainage works
