Job summary

INFORM3 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer for projects across Meath and Louth. The role focuses on setting out, supervision, and delivery of infrastructure and groundworks for a leading civil contractor.

You will manage site activities, review drawings and specifications, liaise with clients and design teams, and support planning, procurement, and reporting. A Level 8 Civil Engineering degree and 4+ years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Level 8 Civil Engineering degree (essential).
• Minimum 4+ years' experience as Civil Engineer on civil projects.
• Strong setting-out experience using GPS and Total Station.
• Experience delivering infrastructure, roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks or groundworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise civil projects from start to completion.
• Carry out setting out using GPS and Total Station equipment.
• Ensure works follow drawings, specs and programmes.
• Monitor quality control and project compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams and suppliers for efficient delivery.
• Maintain site records including daily reports and measurements.
• Ensure Health & Safety regulations are followed.
• Liaise with clients, design teams and stakeholders.
• Assist with planning, procurement and resource management.
• Support commercial teams with measurements, valuations and reporting.

Civil Engineer Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise civil engineering projects from commencement through to completion.
• Carry out setting out using GPS and Total Station equipment.
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project programmes.
• Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, as-built information, and measurements.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.
• Liaise with clients, design teams, and project stakeholders.
• Assist with planning, procurement, and resource management.
• Support commercial teams with measurements, valuations, and project reporting.

Civil Engineer Requirements

• Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering (essential).
• Minimum 4+ years' experience working as a Civil Engineer on civil engineering projects.
• Strong experience in setting out using GPS and Total Station.
• Experience delivering infrastructure, roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, or groundworks projects.
• Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD experience is advantageous.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a project team.
