Job summary

Roughan & O’Donovan (ROD) is seeking a civil engineering technician with 3–7 years of relevant experience for a permanent role in Dublin, Cork or Leeds. The successful candidate will contribute to drainage and water supply design, produce high-quality outputs, and work within a multidisciplinary team.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required, along with strong English communication and attention to detail. Membership in a professional body such as Engineers Ireland or ICE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three to seven years' relevant experience and sector knowledge.
• Proven technical knowledge and engineering skills.
• Experience of designing drainage and water supply systems.
• Ability to produce quality design outputs.
• Fluent or highly proficient in spoken and written English.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D.
• Experience in road design.
• Membership of a professional body, such as Engineers Ireland or the Institution of Civil Engineers.
