Civil Engineer
Job Location: Tipperary
Sector: Civil

INFORM3 are currently recruiting for a CivilEngineer to work on a number of utility projects throughout Tipperary/Kilkenny.

The successful candidate will work alongside a well-respected Civil Engineering Contractor that is working across the Munster/South Leinster area and is expanding. The client requires a candidate that is able to “hit the ground running” and be very confident to work off their own initiative.

Civil Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Liaise and report into the Project Manager
  • Oversee structural and technical activity
  • Review Site Drawings and Specifications, reporting any errors
  • Set out the site with great precision
  • Assist in managing, leading and motivating the site team
  • Assist in coordinating resources such as Plant, Equipment and Machinery
  • Monitor materials, ordering when stocks are low
  • Adhere to health & safety regulations
  • Understanding company policies with regard to quality and ensuring these are implemented at every level of works
  • Carry out and record quality inspections
  • Keep an up-to-date site diary and complete paperwork
  • Conduct Toolbox Talks and Health and Safety Briefings
  • Ensure all staff receive full site inductions and briefings
  • Attend regular review/updating meetings with the wider team
  • Find solutions to any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
  • Provide regular updates on the progress of works to the Project Manager

Civil Engineer Specification:

  • Civil Engineer or Construction Management Degree
  • Water framework experience
  • 1-4 plus years’ experience in a similar position
  • Fantastic communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively
  • Setting out knowledge and experience
  • Able to use Microsoft Office
  • Full driving licence
