Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking a Part Time Citrix Engineer for a remote EU contract. The position allows work from anywhere in the EU and pays a daily rate based on experience.

The role involves migrating and merging legacy Citrix environments and upgrading to current releases. It runs 2 days per week for 7.5 weeks, with a daily rate DOE. Sponsorship is not provided; eligibility requires valid Irish/EU/UK citizenship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience supporting and configuring Citrix environments.
• Proficient with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (6.5 to current LTSR).
• Experience with Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Federated Authentication Service (FAS).
• Knowledge of Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM) and StoreFront/Director.
• Experience with Citrix monitoring, reporting and alerting; hosting shared desktops/VDI.
• Strong TCP/IP, switches, routers and firewall knowledge; Citrix NetScaler familiarity.
• Windows and VMware environments; application installation and troubleshooting in multi-user environments.
• Experience migrating users between Citrix environments; strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

I'm currently hiring a Part Time Citrix Engineer for a Daily Rate Contract

This is a fully remote contract that can be worked from anywhere in the EU. This person will be working on a project to migrate and merge legacy Citrix environments and upgrading of existing environments to current releases.

The Role

Skillset Required

• 5+ years' experience supporting and configuring Citrix environments
• Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops - versions 6.5 through current LTSR
• Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS)
• Citrix Federated Authentication Service (FAS)
• Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM)
• Citrix StoreFront, Licensing & Director
• Citrix monitoring, reporting and alerting
• Hosted shared desktops and VDI environments
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, switches, routers and firewalls

• Microsoft Windows and VMware environments
• Application installation, compatibility and troubleshooting in multi-user environments
• End-user migration between Citrix environments
