Seasonal Job Opportunity: Christmas Event Assistant Elf

Location: Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum & Gardens, Wexford

Contract: Temporary / Seasonal (November - December 2025)

Hours: Part-time, evenings and weekends.

Pay: Minimum Wage

This year at Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum & Gardens, experience the magic of Christmas in a place like no other. Nestled within centuries of history, our fairy-tale castle becomes a place of wonder, with festive magic around every corner. We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic Christmas Elves to help us bring the spirit of the season to life for our visitors.

Role & Responsibilities

As one of Santa's Elves, you will:

• Welcome families and visitors with warmth and festive cheer.
• Assist Santa in creating a magical experience for children.
• Help with storytelling, games, and interactive activities.
• Support queue management and crowd flow in a friendly, professional manner.
• Maintain costume standards and stay in character throughout shifts.
• Provide excellent customer service and contribute to the smooth running of the event.

About You

We're looking for people who are:

• Outgoing, friendly, and confident engaging with children and families.
• Reliable, flexible, and comfortable working in a busy environment.
• Able to bring energy, positivity, and Christmas spirit to every interaction.
• Happy to wear a costume and embrace a character role.
• Previous experience in performance, customer service, or events is desirable but not essential.
