Job summary

Cpl Healthcare is partnering with a dedicated children's residential service in County Tipperary, Offaly, and Laois to recruit Social Care Workers who will support younger children at a pivotal stage in their development. This role offers stability, care, and the opportunity to shape a child’s future.

As a Social Care Worker, you will provide high-quality, child-centred care, implement individual care plans, and promote a safe environment in line with HIQA standards.

Qualifications

• Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care, Youth Work, Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Commitment to supporting children under 12 in care.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of HIQA standards, child protection, and safeguarding practices.
• Ability to work with children from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality, child-centred care within a residential setting.
• Implementing individual care plans to support emotional, social, and educational development.
• Promoting a safe and supportive environment in line with HIQA standards and safeguarding legislation.
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure holistic care.
• Supporting children in developing life skills, confidence, and resilience.
• Engaging in reflective practice, training, and continuous professional development.
