Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

The aim of this programme is to provide you with the opportunity of acquiring knowledge in the area of childcare whilst gaining experience working in a Childcare Setting. QQ1 level 5 & 6 Childcare qualification provided which will enable you to obtain employment in childcare. Candidates must be prepared to dedicate themselves to classes and study. Genuine interest in working with children, flexibility and a good level of English is required.
