Job summary

CHILDCARE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT in Waterford is seeking enthusiastic staff to support daily care for babies to afterschool children. You will help with nappy changes, feeding, play, and nap supervision under the direction of the room leader.

No experience is required as accredited training will be provided. Garda vetting is required; eligibility for the program includes age 21+ or 18+ for certain groups.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary; accredited training will be provided to support the career.
• Applicants must be eligible for the program: age 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for at least 1 year
• Or age 18 years or over for certain disadvantaged groups
• Garda vetting required

Responsibilities

• Work with children of various ages from babies to afterschool children
• Perform tasks such as nappy changing, toileting, sterilising, feeding, nap supervision and engaging in play
• Conduct observations of children under the direction of the room leader
• Follow the policies and procedures of the service at all times
• Clean, tidy and store equipment and toys after use
