Job description

Anchor Childcare Centre is a community-focused, non-profit service dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable childcare and early education. We are currently recruiting for a full time and part time childcare practitioner to join our team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the centre’s curriculum, ensuring a stimulating and age‑appropriate learning experience for all children.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment compliant with all regulatory standards.
• Establish positive, warm, and supportive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Observe and document children’s progress, preparing reports for parents and management as required.
• Organise and lead engaging play and educational activities that support holistic child development.
• A minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education is essential.
• Proven experience working in a childcare or early years setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills including written and spoken English as communication and record-keeping are essential to the role.
• Must supply suitable references and be in a position to obtain Garda Vetting. If you have lived outside Ireland for 6 months or more you must provide a clean Police Clearance Certificate from that country.
