• Take responsibility for children and staff on a day-to-day basis
• Lead the ECCE Scheme provision for pre-schoolers
• Ensure high standards of care at the centre and demonstrate leadership skills within the team
• Attend meetings and undertake training as required
• Revise policies and procedures as necessary
• Adhere to the Child Protection Policy of the service and report any concerns
• Manage a budget and maintain financial accounts
• Maintain all records as required by governing bodies
• Represent the service during inspections
• Network with appropriate statutory and voluntary agencies

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop ongoing positive relationships with parents
• Coordinate recruitment, induction, appraisal, and training requirements for staff
• Maintain strict confidentiality; any breach will constitute gross misconduct
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned

The Successful Candidate Must Have

Person Specifications

Minimum of 5 years of work experience within a childcare setting, including at least two years in management

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, staff, and parents

Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
